Gray Matter Consulting (“Gray Matter”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through graymatterconsulting.ai (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. In short: we only collect what you choose to give us, we use it to respond to you and send what you asked for, and we never sell it.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address and the message you write.
- AI Audit download form: your first name and email address.
- Email: anything you include if you email us directly.
Information collected automatically
- Spam protection: the AI Audit form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and usage information (such as your IP address and how you interact with the page) to tell people from bots.
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.
- Fonts: the Site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google.
We do not currently use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on the Site.
How we use your information
- To reply to your inquiry and schedule consultations.
- To email you the AI Audit PDF you requested.
- To send occasional follow-up emails about AI strategy and our services. Every one of these includes an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
Service providers we use
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Site. They process information on our behalf and under their own privacy policies:
- Formspree, which receives contact form submissions and forwards them to us (privacy policy).
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which manages our email list and delivers the AI Audit PDF (privacy policy).
- Google, for reCAPTCHA and Google Fonts (privacy policy, terms).
- Network Solutions, which hosts the Site.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
Cookies
The Site itself does not set cookies. Google reCAPTCHA and Kit’s form script may set cookies or use similar technologies to provide spam protection and process form submissions. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the AI Audit form may not work without them.
How long we keep information
We keep contact messages for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of our correspondence. We keep email list information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any message.
- Access, correct or delete your information by emailing cullen@graymatterconsulting.ai.
Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR, including the right to know what we hold about you and to request its deletion. We will honor these requests as required by law. We do not sell or “share” personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep what you share with us safe.
Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above.
